1000 Series aluminum foil is made from pure aluminum with a high aluminum content, typically in excess of 99%. It has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, high reflectivity, good ductility and formability. The relatively low strength but high purity of this series of foils results in good chemical stability and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in the packaging and electronics industries for shielding and heat dissipation, and in the construction industry for heat and water insulation and decoration.
3000 series aluminum foil is an aluminum-manganese alloy foil. The addition of manganese improves the strength and corrosion resistance of the foil compared to 1000 series foils. It also has good machinability and weldability. It is commonly used in beverage and food can packaging, roofing and wall cladding, heat exchanger and chemical equipment manufacturing, decorative panels and furniture.
